I'm planning to go with this tone for my EP. It's some drop A sledgehammer riffage and some big ass chord shapes. Articulation in chords and punch in the chugs is what I'm trying to achieve.
Drum mix isn't done yet, but there's a guitar and there's a bass so you should get a reasonably good picture for you to judge the tone.
Any critiques?
COMPLETELY plugin-based tone.
Plugins used:
LePou's amps: LeCto and LeXtac, and six different impulses combined:
1) The legendary s-preshigh
2) The ASEM Recto impulse by lolzgreg
3) Kalthallen 19A
4) Three impulses from the God's Cabs SM57 NO TS folder
Guitar: Jeff Loomis sig with 707s, 18V mod.
