Initial day of four saw several Brave Words favorites onstage, amongst a slew of others. A trio of oversized inflatable rubber duckies stood sentry for the nutters, Alestorm. Candlemass returned to the Oslo fest, again under the tented Moonlight stage running through a set of classics.
PowerWolf also were kept off the main stage, reserved for the likes of Dream Theater & Muse (?) today, but still brought plenty of pyro! Unfortunately, a portion of the Old Man’s Child set (featuring former Dimmu Borgir guitarist, Galder) overlapped with the theatrical Germans.
