on the inverse side of this thread, i think that the axis of perdition may have the worst drum production of 2005 from a black metal band whose name begins with "a". not only is it a drum machine, but it's way too present, and the bass drum (which sounds overly electronic) is too dominant at parts. it's not just that it's a drum machine, it's poorly done. great album, though.
 
for the purposes of this list can we consider bands with names that begin with a non-a vowl, but the initial sound is reduced to schwa, as beginning with the letter a as beginning with a, since the grampheme a can also represent schwa initially as well?!?!?!?!
