Okay I'm bored!

Old School
1, McQueen
2, Nicholson
3, Caine
4, Poitier
5, Newman

and for the new "kids" on the block

1, Pacino
2, Spacey
3, Norton
4, Gandolfini
5, De Niro

I base my favorites not necessarily for their pure acting ability, but also because I have liked several of their movies.

Kevin Costner (Field of Dreams is one of my all-time favorites)
Alec Baldwin (for screen presence alone)
Harrison Ford (like a lot of his movies)
Arnold Schwartznegger (like a lot of his movies)
Keanu Reeves (just becuase The Matrix is my all-time favorite movie)
...and Morgan Freeman - who I consider quite an underrated actor

other noteables: (not sure if women are to be excluded)
Jack Nicholson
Mel Gibson
Tom Cruise
Julia Roberts
John Travolta (he plays a great bad guy)

I like:

Jack Nicholson
De Niro
Pacino
Brad Pitt ( admit it, he rocks:) )
Edward Norton (thought so even before Fight Club)
James Woods
Christopher Walken (i think that is how it's spelled)
Steve Bushemi (however you spell it)
Samuel L. Jackson
...................just to name a few.

(not in any order)

Samuel L. Jackson (except in Deep Blue Sea)
Denzel Washington
Edward Norton (American History X just kicked ass)
Bradd Pit (never seen him do any "pretty boy" movies so far)
Michael Douglas (Falling Down was just amazing)

Jack Nicholson
Johnny Depp ( damn good actor)
Al Picino
De Niro (Raging Bull! Taxi Driver!)
Brad Pitt

My old school favorites:
Paul Newman
James Stewart
Bogart

Well i'm glad a lot of people put Brad Pitt in theirs... I could see him getting a bad rep because so many girls are gaga over him so us boys decide he must be like Britney Spears and only popular because of his looks. That being said i think he is my favorite actor, especially when he does weird roles (which is almost always hehe) like his role in 12 Monkey, Fight Club, Snatch, etc. When he plays those role he is the best!

Other wicked Actors:

Kevin Spacey
Edward Norton

Actually that's about the only ones that stand out in my mind... De Niro, Freeman, and Pacino are good too.

Gary Oldman
Kevin Spacey
Johnny Depp
Steve Buschemi (sp?)

Actresses:

I like Neve Campbell, despite her role in some more recent films. There is just something about her. After reading about her, we have a lot in common. She's Canadian, too.

Duvall, I want to see Dancer in the Dark. One of my friends likes Björk a lot and suggested it.

1. Bette Midler
2. Charlize Theron
3. Sally Field
4. Shirley MacLaine (memorable performances - notably in "Terms of Endearment")
