In My Kingdom Cold
Limit it to ten, please

Frank Zappa - Joe's Garage
CCR - Green River
SRV & Double Trouble - Couldn't Stand the Weather
Pink Floyd - The Wall
The Doors - S/T
Rush - 2112
Van Halen - 1984
NIN - Pretty Hate Machine
King's X - Dogman
Faith No More - Angel Dust

(in case FNM is considered metal, the alternate choice is STP - Core)

1. Yes - Close to the Edge
2. Zep - 4
3. Deep Purple - Machine Head
4. Aerosmith - Get Your Wings
5. Jethro Tull - Aqualung
6. Boston - S/T
7. Black Sabbath - Paranoid
8. Beatles - any
9. The Who - Who's Next
10. Fuck it -there are way too many possible choices.

Good list Mathias. Only one there I do not like is Paranoid. I've not heard much Beatles except for their standards.

Let me quote myself (yes, I am drinking)... Black Sabbath would be metal by default.

I must plug my Ayreon "Into the Electric Castle" really quick, but some might consider that metal... Let me give some more noteworthy albums...

Aerosmith "Toys in the Atttic"
ELP "Brain Salad Surgery"
Jimi Hendrix (all, but mainly) "Are You Experienced?"
Led Zeppelin "Houses of the Holy"

Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon"
Chad Wackerman "The View"
Steve Vai "The Ultrazone"
Greg Howe "Greg Howe"

Richie Kotzen "Richie Kotzen"
MVP "Centrifugal Funk"
Lustmord "Heresy"
Van Halen "I"
Dave Martone "When the Aliens Come"
Guthrie Govan "Erotic Cakes"
John Coltrane "Greatest Hits"

Porcupine Tree "In Absentia"
Rush "Hemispheres"

If this another one of those threds thats supposed to be something about non metal bands and everyones going to list metal bands or those that preceded the metal age but were so close to metal or bands that were the foundation of metal ? Let me look back..... yep it is, runing about 50/50 so far.

Geeze guys if your gonna step outside "the metal zone" do it with more than one leg...... :erk:

:kickass: Lush is fucking beautiful indeed.

Did you like their last album? They got rid of their atmospheric sound, and just did really simple(lyrically) songs. Also, did you know they broke up because the drummer killed himself? Really tragic...
