This needs it's own thread ... just released

Amazing all around ... watch in HD with headphones ... love Vanja's bass sound :kickass:

I am becoming a real Triptykon fanboy ...

Yeah, jesus. I'm surprised how well that video worked with the song; it really adds to the song.

that CF video is amazing in its own right ... but that Triptykon one is something else. I don't think a video punched me in the guy like that ever ... well maybe Britny Fox's "Girlschool"

Listening to the new one. It's really good, as I expected. Tom G. channels his inner David Gilmour a bit, and it works! It's heavy and sparse this time, and I'm sure that it will take 200 listens to completely "get" but I'm already digging it a lot. Making up genres is fun so I hereby dub Triptykon to be Depth Metal.

It is absolute fucking blasphemy to say this, but I'm starting to think that Melana Chasmata is just as good as To Mega Therion. Is it as historically important? Well of course no, but man, this dude practically invented heavy/weird/metal and continues to shit all over the newcomers/unbelievers even today.

i listened to requiem and i kind of feel like "grave eternal" is super pretentious and overinflated

there is so little actual material there and so much fucking around

barely any metal, barely any orchestra, barely any lyrics, barely any riffs, barely anything. i really struggle to see what this guy is even trying to communicate except "this is long and hard to digest so it is clearly Important Art"

the pink floyd solo and the bit at the absolute end are the clear highlights but the middle 20 minutes or so are just zzz as fuck
