Triumph drummers amazing recording studio/empire

Gil Moore and Triumph - God did I love "Thunder Seven" and "Never Surrender". Rik Emmett, Mike Levine, and Gil were one of those great power trios from back in the 70's and 80's. Rush, EL&P, hell even Motorhead - It still amazes me what with the power and the sound that three musician's can pull off by themselves - I've seen all of those power trios (well, Motorhead was a foursome when I saw them live) and while Rush are still my all-time favorites, they were all amazing.

A buddy of mine went to the school there. He got to record my band for his end of the year thing. We got the coveted 4am-8am recording slot. Final results weren't great, but it was damn cool to sit in those rooms and see all those records on the walls.

The very first cover we did with my very first band was "Lay It On The Line" from "Just a Game". This guys where the technology-less Rush from Canada. Must be the cold there.

By the way, this Thursaday 12, Saga is playing here (Venezuela). This was the first band I ever saw at a big live concert back in 94. Can't be there this time, I'm all bucked till December 26.

Interesting.
I went there too, then interned. My final project had the 4am slot too.

Where are you from?

Was a 1 year Audio Engineering and Music Production course. 1,000 hours for $20,000.
It was good, confirmed that I should be a recording/mixing engineer. My class started with 30 day + 20 night class, ended with about 12 graduates.

It's not for everyone.

If I were in a band and I wanted to know how to record my demo, I wouldn't get into a school like that.

An alternate would be: http://www.homestudiocorner.com/production-club/ which is inexpensive and still teaches you a lot.
