"Under great consideration, I have decided to part ways with Trouble. My reasons are justified. I felt like I was never taken seriously as a musician with the guys from Trouble, but I did the best I could in that 28 year effort with the band. That is all I would like to say for now. However, this is not a retirement from the music industry for I have my band, Retro Grave, with the full length coming out in a few months with fine players (the EP was a solo effort). I thank the Trouble fans for all their support and dedication and I'm sorry if I Iet you down. Moreover, I will say that Bruce and Rick are the drive and sound for Trouble and every one else are replaceable, so I'm sure they will carry on well. It's been an honor to have played with Bruce, Rick and Eric. I would also like to mention to Kerrang Magazine that I'm not leaving to become a preacher as you once noted many years ago and never corrected".
Best
Jeff Oly Olson

Well it only took him 28 years to realize that...I think he's in trouble :p

I heard a couple of recent sound clips w/ Kory Clarke on vocals & it's just not the same. Eric Wagner isn't necessarily a great singer, but he's definitely the voice of Trouble.

Trouble w/ Kory Clarke. eh...

Just got back from seeing Trouble... I'm not really very familiar with the band at all so I can't say how Clarke compared to Wagner but I can say that Clarke was a frontman who was definitely at the top of his game. He checked some lyrics up from a piece of paper but beyond that there was nothing that made him look like "the replacement for the singer of Trouble" instead of "the singer of Trouble". The entire band was very tight and it was a good traditional heavy rock concert, what else is there to say.

This was at the Jalometalli festival, most bands were kinda off my radar but I did witness Astral Doors, Masterstroke, Blitzkrieg and Overkill and had a good time overall. I don't really feel inspired to write a full report let's just say none of the bands disappointed.:)

Nice to hear Clarke does a good job. But with the drummer leaving too I guess it isn't "really" Trouble anymore. Sad but true...

Jeff Olsen wasn't the drummer for a couple of their best releases (s/t, Manic Frustration) so maybe a new drummer's not that big of a deal. New vocalist on the other hand definitely changes things...

I wounder if Kory Clarke's really a permanent member of Trouble or just a short term plug-in. Sounds like he's still busy with Warrior Soul and his side project.

WARRIOR SOUL Working On New Studio Album - Aug. 20, 2008
WARRIOR SOUL, the band fronted by legendary singer Kory Clarke, is currently working on a new studio album which is tentatively due before the end of the year. A tour will follow the album's release.

Video footage of WARRIOR SOUL performing the song "Let's Get Wasted" at Ace of Clubs in New York City on May 31, 2008 can be viewed below. The show marked WARRIOR SOUL's first American concert in twelve years.

Clarke's side project, THE STONED, opened the concert.

WARRIOR SOUL released a live album on April 14, 2008 through Livewire/Cargo Records. Entitled "Live In England", the CD was recorded in London during the band's October 2007 tour.

"Live In England" features many of the classic songs from the "Last Decade Dead Century", "Drugs, God And The New Republic", "Salutations From The Ghetto Nation", "Space Age Playboys" and "Chill Pill" albums as well as a brand new song entitled "Bad News (Rock n' Roll Boyfriend)".

The band's current lineup is as follows:

Kory Clarke - Vocals
Johnny H - Guitar
Rille Lundell - Guitar
Janne Jarvis - Bass
Rob "Stevo" Stephenson - Drums

I saw Trouble last weekend, and even as a Wagner fan, I have to say Clarke does a great job. He's over the lyric sheets period, and I think he fits the band quite good. Marko Lira on the drums is also doing a fine job, and as a curiosity, he has the same drum set up as Olson, leftie style. The only thing I have to point out is that the set seems so what adjusted to Clarke, with mainly uptempo (as uptempo as you get it in Trouble...) songs, and only one song older than 1990. But all in all, when Wagner's not there anymore, this is an excellent solution.
