Ever hear this Frank Gambale and Allan Holdsworth duo?!! This is incredible! So much more to this than to the typical 80's shred duos. Shredding in the context of Jazz is just awesome. I like Al DiMeola (Elegant Gypsy), but this is just killer. Holdsworth has got to be the master of legato. Now I can see MJR's influence for sure! Damn, I wanna buy this now. I've got two Holdsworth (newer ones) in the mail. I can't wait!

Same here. You would really like Greg Howe (ex-shrapnell-metal shredder turned fusion-shredder) His album Hyperacuity is wonderous!

But thanx, I'll check it out, I like fusion.

My brother got the Greg Howe album(Hyperacuity, i haven`t really gotten used to it yet, but my brother tells me it`s great(it`s too strange yet for me i guess). Which is extremely cool, since Greg is on MJR`s "thanks to" list in the booklet of "The Dark Chapter"!
Also i think i`ve heard that duel you`re talking about Satanic Rabbit and of , and i couldn`t agree with you more! It`s totally mindblowing, i think they`re sweeptapping quite a lot, since much of it sound totally SICK(apart from the aforementioned outworldish legato stuff from both of them, Frank Gambale is also one of the gods of sweeping)!
If you liked this duel and all the legato stuff, you should check out one beetween Shawn Lane and Bret Garsed, that one is just.........FANTASTIC. You too of course Mr.Shred-ididle and Bassmasta, it`s cool to hear fellow shredders are also into good fusion/jazz and stuff!

I don't have much fusion, but I really should be getting some more. Trible Tech is one of my teachers favourite bands, you might dig my teachers work with his fusion band "thonk". They were an opening act for Planet X when they came down here. they're good! I recomend you download track 9 (total no sence) the www.aaronsaxon.com or www.getthonked.com think)

Just being biast towards my teacher.

Hell yeah, that one is brilliant. I think the name of the song is called Actual Proof, but i'm not sure. I remember my guitar teacher made me a tape of that for me many years ago but it's long since vanished. I saw Gambale live at the Basememt a few years ago, that was a top show. Can you believe he hails from Canberra?! :O

I can`t make it work! It says file is corrupted or some other crap.
Still, they have GOT to be great, touring with Frank Gambale Ric Fierabracci and Virgil Donati?????????

I bought this album on tape last week for $1!!! It's incredible. The tone is great, the shredding is all over the fretboard... these guys are masters. the vibe from the whole thing, although really insane, actually retains that groovy, chill-out fusion jazz feel.

I suggest it to all of you if shred is your thing. Hahahaah, if you can get it for a dollar, that's even better.

Sensational album, long out of print from what I've heard although Gambale has been buying back some of his old albums and re-releasing them.

Hey Chris, you should check my teacher out. He's an ozzy... You might like to hear some local fusion/funk talent from the Gold Coast.
@ Shredmaster, yeah, they've toured with alot of people, VIRGIL DONATI!!!, Frank Gambale, Heaps more. They were going to tour with Trible tech and the Chik Correa band (feat. Gambale, Wrekle, Pattitucci) and he was gonna give me backstage tickets!!!! but then no, they wanted too much money so the tour couldn't happen, shit!

So you downloaded his stuff, like it?

Bt/w I got a Henderson/Smith/Wooten cd yesterday from my dads friend!!! Woah!
