these are sad and troubled times and I have great sympathy for all those people around the whole world who are suffering. Sometimes it helps to put a little light humor on the subject... helps people cope. It's not like I'm saying the poor fuckers deserved it. I've donated alot of money to the cause too.
Sure maybe the jokes are a little in poor taste... but that's how I derive most of my humor. Sorry for my part if I've offended anyone. I had to expect some bites for that.

I usually like black humor but some jokes belittle tragedies.
I didn't laugh about 9/11 jokes two weeks after it (there had been many). It wasn't even my country, and I wasn't really shocked about the terror, I just thought it's not funny. The same goes for the holocaust or the tsunami.

I love jokes about women, men, kids, politicians, even political incorrect jokes but I don't like jokes about dead people. They can't strike back.
Try to make fun about the childrapists who still are on holidays in Thailand.
THAT would make me laugh!

I find them funny because I could give a shit less about those people. Theyll just repopulate in ten years and itll be as if nothing ever happened. Thats all the human race knows how to do is populate and destroy. Most worthless species ever designed.

I can see where people would be upset though. There were so many killed that it's highly possible that someone on this board is a friend or related to a victim of this disaster. I know someone who was visiting family there at the time and i haven't heard from her. and I understand how you feel about dwelling on this tragedy we're still dealing with bitches who can't get over 9/11. But when you make certain jokes about things like this it seems like you're belittling the victims. it's one thing to joke about the situation but another to say something like "whats brown and floats on water" comparing an innocent victim to a peice of shit.

Yeah, most tragedy jokes don't strike me too well, but once in a while, one catches me off gaurd, making me cry with laughter and question my morals.

I agree about Dimebags murder but that is only because most of us here thought highly of him. If someone doesn't give a shit then I'm sure they would have no problem making jokes. The jokes may be in poor taste, but taste like beuty is in the eye of the beholder.
