Also note that the date of the festival will be announced tomorrow. That's a bit unexpected and will make it difficult to try and get an entire floor of a hotel like SavaRon was talking about. I know I'll be making reservations as soon as I find out the dates tomorrow.

I'm not sure. I think they usually go on sale the first of March. I would definitely consider booking a room tomorrow when the dates are released. Rooms around the venue go quickly.

Ron, if it's up to me I'll be staying at the Granada again. It's just so close to the venue, that's why I like it. I'll be there with others, so it'll depend on what everyone else wants to do, though. Progpower costs me a lot of money, but the last two years, it is the only time I've taken off from work, so it's been well worth it.

I drive up, so I like to have a place to park the car and not pay an extra 15-20 bucks day. Hapton Inn has parking and I think the Courtyard by Marriot does as well. I think some of the other UMOSers were thinking about the Courtyard, but I'm not sure. Have to wait for some of them to chime in here?

Don't worry getting from the airport. The Marta goes right by the venue and the Granada is almost next door to Earthlink. I haven't taken it, but everybody that does seems to like it. I drive there myself. The Granada fills up quick once they annonce the dates. Usually within a day, because a lot of the bands stay there as well. Most of the partying goes on there too.

I like this hotel because it is only like two blocks from the venue...short walk esp. when drunk The MARTA, Atlanta's public rail system, cost $1.75 one way. It leaves from the airport and there is a station right across the street from the Granada, another reason I like that hotel. Hey Wyv, if you make it drinks on me.

If you want to stay at that hotel I would book it, if it's not already full by now. It will be very shortly. Looks like the UMOS crew will be split up. Glenn suprised us with this announcement so early. Probably going to end up at the Courtyard or back at the Hampton Inn again. Both are around $100 a night, have parking and a pool! Can't wait.

I have a few ideas where I'll be staying but to play it safe will book the rest after I know I have a tix to the show. So that will be in 4 mos.

If you wanted to get there a day early, it's 159/night......
Nice Hotel, I'll try it this year, I've been at the Granada since the fest has been in GA
