Erm, well. I dunno, it just do it for me. I've always been a passives type of guy. I ain't a metal player, I play hard rock stuff. The passives feel and sound better to me. Feel is quite an odd way of putting it, but I'm all about the feel of the guitar. The passives respond better to my style of playing. Not that I'm great or anything, it's just what works

I've got a Gibson 500T (at least I've always considered it to be a 500T) that will be taking it's place. They work really well for my playing.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I bought a Sennheiser MD421 last night that I didn't really need, but how could I refuse at £150?
