I saw the guys play at Bloodstock in the UK... what a great show. But I really want to see Evergrey again. Maybe a bit of a petition on the forum will convince them that the UK actually loves Evergrey (contrary to what the british music press seem to think)
Pretty please with sugar on top... tour the UK (i'll come to every gig :Spin: )

Unfortunately its not as simple as that, doesn't matter how much Evergrey wants to come to the UK, if promoters are unwilling to put the gig on, you may as well forget about it.

I've seen them twice this year in the UK, and would love to see them again, but I dont hold any hopes for a tour anytime soon

Amen Brother! I have actually e-mailed the band in the past in an effort to get them to come to the UK, even offered to help set up some of the gigs! Tom and Michael initially agreed but I fear the decision was taken out of their hands by their management (who I also e-mailed!!). It has since gone very quiet!

I understand the constraints of doing a proper tour, but it would be great to see Evergrey in the UK headlining! I too would go to every show - isn't that what holiday allowance at work is for?!

BTW - not in November though please Guys - I have important exams then!

Yeah... I know about the problems with promoters, always so unwilling to take a bit of a risk! (fair enough though I suppose)
If there ever was a UK tour.. who would you guys want as support?

How about Pain of Salvation? Nevermore? Iced Earth? Kamelot? Masterplan? I'm being unrealistic I know but if any of these bands joined Evergrey, I'd be sooo happy! Mind you, I'd tour the country if just Evergrey played on their own.

Everpain, only Masterplan out of who you mentioned have a smaller reputation in the UK than Evergrey, so that would be extremely unlikely to have any of them as support. I'd say its more likely to have maybe something like Intense or some other UK band, or a less known Scandanavian band (if it was Nocturnal Rites, my head would explode).

Yes, I take your point - I did say I was being unrealistic! But do you honestly think that PoS are bigger in the UK than Evergrey? I'm not convinced.
But whoever supported them on a UK tour, it would not matter to me - Evergrey are my fave and I'd go all over the UK to watch them!

Im still thinking Power Quest would be a great band to support... being a uk based band, and being damn good too. They would also be a nice contrast to Evergrey.

I would reckon on Pain Of Salvation having a higher reputation, for a start, I find their albums more often than I do Evergrey's in your HMV's and Virgin Megastores. I could be wrong but I reckon thats the case

I would love to see Evergrey tour the UK but with their lack of exposure so far, in the UK press I don't see it viable. I saw both UK dates in 2005 and would love to see them play Power Prog 2006.

So ok then guys and girls, lets do something about it and make it impossible for the band (or their management!!) to say no. I'm willing to do some donkey work to get them over here - anyone with me? Anyone got any new ideas? Like I said I e-mailed the band but that hasn't worked...yet!

Pain of salvation does have a bigger reputation then our friends of Evergrey. When evergey is going to perform in Brazil, they will be the support of Pain of Salvation. But their status in the UK, i don't know. Ask a british forummember...
