Wolven Ancestry is a six piece band from Sudbury featuring members of Fleshcraft and Beyond Within. In describing our own music, we are often hesitant to use the term "Black Metal." A listener will find that the essential elements of Black Metal are present, yet we try to incorporate as many different musical moods as possible, creating works that occasionally stray away from a fundamentalist concept of the genre. Above all, we strive to encompass melodicism and an overall epic sound. Listen and you will see. The ideology behind Wolven Ancestry is fairly simple. As a band, we hold many misanthropic pagan and/or wiccan beliefs: nature is perfect and undying, the human race is cancer to our planet (Gaia), the values of modern capitalist/christian society are evil, etc. We are not Satanist and we are definitely not racist.
