1. I have acquired episodes 2 and 4 of the new Doctor Who series and they fucking rule :headbang:. Episode 3 (The Unquiet Dead, which I don't yet have) will probably end up as my favourite of the season because it's the 19th century gothic horror one written by Mark Gatiss.

2. The Buffy/Angel convention I was psyching myself up to attend in July has been postponed until October. Bummer. On the plus side, I bought my ticket before April 30th and am entitled to "2 photos with the guests of my choice as compensation for any inconvenience." Woo to the hoo!

We must take our pleasures where we find them, Blitzy. It's rather like putting Angel of Retribution on random play and having to sit through Loch Ness before you get to Judas Rising :).

I listen to Angel most of all on that album for some reason. I must be getting sentimental in my old age.

The new Doctor Whos do indeed rule. I've got all of the aired ones so far (except for last weekends, must get onto that). Only complaints are that the stories are too short, although that seems like it will change shortly, and that it looks like they're trying to write in an overarching story rather than just have pure stand alone episodes.

And Loch Ness is indeed silly and boring.

Is Unquiet Dead as good as I'm hoping it will be, Phloggy? Mark Gatiss is a helluva writer when he's not squandering his talents on League of Gentlemen. I like quirky British comedy as much as the next Anglophile snob, but LoG does nothing for me. Sketch comedy hasn't been the same since the demise of the Fast Show.

Although I can find the time to download them, I'm struggling to find the time to actually watch them, so I've only seen eps 1 and 2, although I have flicked through the others to make sure they're alright and work.

It's very similar in appearance to "The Talons of Wieng Chiang", but I guess that's kind of a given, what with the setting and all...

"It's very similar in appearance to "The Talons of Weng Chiang", "

Most encouraging. The photos I've seen from it remind me of Ghost Light too.

Weng-Chiang, incidentally, was Robert Holmes ripping off Phantom of the Opera. If you've seen one period horror story, you've seen 'em all :).

I thought the League of Gentlemen was great. Just bought the first two series on DVD on eBay actually. :)

Perhaps the funniest show I've seen is I'm Alan Partridge. Alas, it hasn't been shown here. Also hilarious is Little Britain.

If so, I'm gay too. Coupling rules. I was sceptical before I first saw it, but it's hilarious.

Where've you seen it, Iccy? Have you seen that series, or just Knowing Me, Knowing You? Both are around on eBay. Me must get soon. Hilarious! :)

I want to get Cheers series 1.

I might impulse buy it today.

Instead of NiN's album... that'll always be there. Cheers series 1 is only $44 at the mo.

FUCK I'm going to do it. I don't know what this has to do with the thread. I wonder what my girlfriend's reaction will be when I show her Cheers instead of NiN.
