So to commemorate the July 4th weekend (nearly a week late, but last week was Canada Day) I played 2 hours of underground classic metal from the states, going for bands who fit the "metal massacre" type of sound. Here's the playlist:

Banshee We Want You
Culprit Guilty as Charged
Titanic The Awakening
Ripper Death Awaits You
Krank Rented Heat
World War 3 Final Solution
Gargoyle Into the Darkness
Attakk Thunder in the Night
Legacy (pre-Testament) Burnt Offerings
Deadly Blessing Salem's Lot
Warrior Fighting For the Earth
Halloween (Detroit) Don't Metal With Evil
Mad Man Backstabber
Dissenter Blood Under Heaven
Trauma (Cliff Butron) Such a Shame
Floatsam and Jetsam (Jason Newstead) I Live, You Die
Megadeth The Mechanix (Demo)
Metallica Hit the Lights
Obsession Methods of Madness
Tactics Spare No Lives
Armored Saint Lesson Well Learned
Warlord Child of the Damned
Hyksos The Kings
Heretic (Mike Howe) Evil For Evil
Metal Church The Batallions

Listen Here.

Great, great picks :worship:

Talking about US Metal, you could a 10 hours special and you haven´t started yet!

From all the bands you played I´d like to focus in DEADLY BLESSING. In my opinion, "Ascend from the cauldron" is a masterpiece and Ski one of the best and most unknown singers.

Have any of you heard FAITH FACTOR? It´s the band Ski created some years ago. It´s heavy/US power metal and the got an album called "Against a darkened sky" that it´s amazing.

Awsome calls on Armored Saint and Gargoyle. You should have tossed some Abattoir and Griffin too.

Wow, that's the stuff I used to listen to all the time in the 80's. (and still do of course). As Marco said it's possible to make alot more of these shows, so you got some work ahead :) Hopefully your listeners appriciated the show !
Great of you to keep this music alive !

1 guy called last night in absolute awe. ("Holy shit dude, when the hell am I ever going to hear Deadly Blessing again in Detroit?!"

But yeah, I plan to do more shows like this and I could have easily played underground shit for hours and hours longer, but you can only play so much in 2 hours. I'm also waiting on an interview with Matt Smith of Theocracy right now. Can't wait for that as his music *@&#$ rules.
