USB2 to FW400 adapter?

Hey,

A friend of mine is searching an adapter for his audio interface/PC. Advice for something stable and solid? We saw a kit at around $4 so I highly doubt they're great..

USB and Firewire are 2 totally different protocols.
You can't switch from one to the other with a simple adapter.
Don't buy any adapter you'll find, it just can't work and it can be really dangerous for your hardware.

You better buy a PCIe extension card if you're on a desktop computer, or maybe some kind of express card if you're on a laptop and have the slot for it.
