VAN HALEN frontman David Lee Roth performed at the Brent Shapiro Foundation's Summer Spectacular on Friday (September 7) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. The invite-only gala — which also featured a performance by CLETO AND THE CLETONES (house band from "Jimmy Kimmel Live!") — celebrated the 13th year of the foundation, which has raised over $3 million for drug awareness and prevention, focused on high-risk communities. Video footage of Roth's appearance can be seen below. Photos are available at GettyImages.com. Hosted by Mario Lopez ("Extra"), this year's gala bestowed the foundation's Spirit Of Sobriety Award upon Emmy-winning actor, producer and director Joe Manganiello. The award is given to an individual who is open about their own recovery or that of a friend or family member. Foundation creators Robert and Linell Shapiro also presented college scholarships to two members of its educational outreach program Brent's Club for successfully completing high school without failing a drug test. Prominent entertainment industry leaders and celebrities gathered to recognize advances in the fight against addiction and rally around the growing movement to end the disease. VAN HALEN has been inactive since it completed its U.S. tour in October 2015 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California. The trek was VAN HALEN's first since an aborted North American run three years earlier in support of its then-new studio album, "A Different Kind Of Truth". Released in 2015 was "Tokyo Dome In Concert", VAN HALEN's first-ever live collection featuring Roth, despite numerous pro-shot concerts from the band's original heyday being heavily booted for years.
