Van Williams and Jeff Loomis out of Nevermore?!

I guess that would explain them dropping out of the Symphony X tour...

i almost was going to the symphony x tour just for them. scratch that idea now. i really like nevermores albums over the last 10 years too

I hadn't heard this, but am not surprised. Nevermore is a thing of the past for sure, even if they choose to replace these guys. I think a lot of people sensed the end coming though. Health issues and other bad luck have plagued them, and it did sort of seem like they'd lost some steam of late....long breaks between records, Loomis' continued (admitted) writing block, etc. etc. They were truly great for a good long run of albums....oh well. I thought they were one of the best modern metal bands (wasn't thrilled with the last album though). On the bright side, Warrell's solo album was fantastic, so maybe we'll hear more of that kind of thing.

I wasn't aware of nevermore's 'problems' so this is a surprise for me.

It's too bad, but at least they "go out" on top. While it's a minority view, I thought their last record was a huge rebound over the one preceeding it. They've got some "modern classics" under the belts (Dead Heart, Dreaming Neon) so their legacy is secure.
