Velvet Revolver's new album

Brilliant, just finished listening to it.
Bought it today, it's really really good.

Scott Weiland sounds a bit like Axl in some places which is strange... and there are time when you think you're listening to Guns N Roses, but overall it's a fairly different sound, and it's a good'un.

Damn happy with the purchase.

the only thing about the album that I'm not too sure of... is most of the songs follow the same formula.

Intro, Verse, Half-Chorus, Verse, Chorus, Bridge, Solo, Verse, Double Chorus, Outro.

Not that it's a bad thing though.

They are great typical rokk songs, hard rokkin' verses with nice melodic, catchy choruses.

I've heard four tracks from this so far, courtest of Spiff, and I think it's awesome. Can't wait to get the album.

one thing is annoying me now...

Illegal I Song has an absolutely JAW DROPPING chorus... but the rest of the song is down with my least favourite moments on the album.

Fall to Pieces is the best song I've heard in some time. Think it's probably about Weiland's marriage breaking up. Fantastic album, and Weiland sounds awesome.

Album of the year! One of the best American rock albums in several years!

I picked it up on Tuesday and it's a pretty cool hard rock album with some great melodies.

I got it today for $17 at Kmart.



Sounds decent. Heavy than expected, but quite contemporary. The vocals are very indistinct. I feel they could have hired anyone to do this, no big deal at all.



AT the moment I am disappointed, but I feel I'll begin to enjoy it.

bloody "Loving the Alien" gets stuck in my head about a billion times a day, every day.

Fucking great chorus. Especially with the lead guitar part.

I didn't care much for it on the first listen, Sydo, but on the second I had a moment of clarity and realised how great it was.

Dirty Americans is another good american rock release Spiff, get a liten to it somewhere
