it seems the Current VH lineup is trying everything to make the world forget Sammy Hagar and -more ashamedly-Mike Anthony ever played in the band.

the upcoming Guitar Hero VH edition has DLR and Wolfgang as the caricatures of the current lineup

BUT get more songs from their back catalog opened up and DLR Ed and Alex get younger and Wolf stays the same!?

trying to erase and forget part of your history

not fair fuckers:yuk:

 "guitar hero" who GAF !

If I were Sammy I would not want any part of guitar "hero" in the first place. Its a good place for the likes of Dragonfarce

I refuse to have guitar hero in my house. Nothing to do with this EVH stuff.

And that aside, what a bunch of crap! Eddie's pulling a Sharon and being petty over songs. He should get over himself already.

I was going to make that same comparision.

Interestingly, when I saw them on their Carnel knowledge tour Sammy stood right up on stage and spoke of how much fun they had and Im not shitting really said "Eddie was his best friend". Maybe it was just stage bullshit but they really seemed to interact and have a great time together, their music they made expressed that spirit too. The massive crowd at that concert carried the spirit out of the concert, it was like a great big rowdy (in the good way) party all the way out into the streets and to the parking lots. Awesome !

Things change I guess, maybe Eddie couldnt deal with that big change in commercial music taste called grunge when suddenly his nitch, which he was basically king of just evaporated.

"trying to erase and forget part of your history"
not any worse than Jon Shaffer everytime he changes singers he tries to erase the past

You can't really compare Iced Earth to Van Halen can you? I mean Van Halen has influenced legions of musicians. I love Iced Earth but they aren't in the same league in terms of influence. You're right in the fact that Jon only seems to look forward...
