Soundwave TV has uploaded an eight-minute clip of Duff McKagan (WALKING PAPERS, LOADED, GUNS N' ROSES, VELVET REVOLVER) chatting with Jerry Cantrell (ALICE IN CHAINS) backstage at Soundwave festival in Melbourne, Australia on February 28. Check it out below. Leading the charge of rock music since the '80s, McKagan continues to be a potent and venerable noisemaker in the industry. A multi-faceted artist today, when McKagan isn't shredding on the stage, he effortlessly morphs into a journalist (SeattleWeekly.com, Playboy.com, ESPN.com), an actor ("Dead Pool", "Sliders"), or a producer (biographical documentary "It's So Easy (And Other Lies)"). Outside of the arts, he founded Meridian Rock, a wealth management firm aimed at musicians to help educate them about their finances. His versatility and his impact are the epitome of what it means to be an artist today. ALICE IN CHAINS' fifth studio album, "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here", sold 62,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart. The disc follows up 2009's "Black Gives Way To Blue", which was the group's first all-new collection of material in 14 years. That CD opened with 126,000 units back in October 2009 to debut at No. 5. "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here" is ALICE IN CHAINS' second album with William DuVall on vocals.
