Rob Zombie joined MOTIONLESS IN WHITE on stage at last night's (Wednesday, July 22) second edition of the Alternative Press Music Awards at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio to perform a cover version of WHITE ZOMBIE's "Thunder Kiss '65". Video footage of the collaboration can be seen below. Rob Zombie explained in a recent interview with Loudwire why he has held back the release of his new album even though the record was completed months ago. Zombie said, "I would like to put it out sooner than later, but I have this idea that I really wanna make a visual component that goes with the album, and I don't have time yet, 'cause I'm in the middle of editing my movie. So I didn't wanna just throw the record out there and there's no videos, there's no nothing, so I'm, like, I'd rather just hold it and do it properly." Zombie added that the follow-up to 2013's "Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor" was recorded over the course of a year, with the band working for a few weeks, taking a break for a few months, then coming back. He said, "We were living with it for a long time, and it really
I think it made the record so much better." Zombie is currently editing his sixth live-action feature film, a horror thriller called "31", which is expected out later this year. The rocker-director's next feature film will be an adaptation of Steve Stoliar's memoir, "Raised Eyebrows: My Years Inside Groucho's House". The book tells the bizarre story of the last years in the life of Groucho Marx, told by a young Marx Brothers fan who spent those years as his personal secretary and archivist.
