The video to Metallica's "One" features footage from some old black and white war movie .... anyone know what movie that is?

I believe it's "Johnny's Got A Gun", which was adapted from a stage play.

Must buy And Justice For All soon. One is a very, very good song .

Ahhh how times change,it is an awesome clip but, that should be an exeption to them not making clips,as should that live Sanatarium clip.

Anyway -with Wrathchilds post above I did some investigations at imdb.com ... and came up with a 1971 movie called "Johnny Got His Gun".

Yeah.. The movie is Johnny Got His Gun. Great song from an amazing album, which would be even better if the mix was better and there was bass!!

And the unfortunately-named Timothy Bottoms plays Johnny in the movie. Actually a very good actor in his day, but he hasn't done much of note since the 70s. He *did* play the baddie in one of my all-time favourites, "Rollercoaster", but that was in the 70s as well. What a movie!!

And just looking at the IMDb link, I had no idea Dalton Trumbo directed it. How about that? And I just noticed that Timothy Bottoms plays Bush in "That's My Bush"! Definitely didn't know that!!

The movie was based on Dalton Trumbo's book of the same name. The book is a great read, especially when playing One in the background.
