California’s extreme metal band Vile completes drum recording for their new album.

Vile guitarist and producer Colin Davis reports from the studio “Drums are finished. Tyson really shined during his time at the Imperial Mastering studio and we got some really beautiful tracks. His playing is more mature and more polished than before and we feel really happy about what has been recorded.”

The next four months will be dedicated to finishing the album which is yet to be titled and will be released sometime during the summer by the band themselves. Reports Davis, “We feel that if there was ever a time for a band to take control over its own destiny, it is now. The new album will be released by us and we are currently setting up the necessary distribution channels.”

Davis also reports that the new album will be Vile’s most musically diverse. “I remember all of my favorite albums being quite varied in the musical styles that were incorporated. All of the great British, German and American bands had many different types of songs on their albums. Recently, that has stopped and we want to bring that diversity back to metal. Just like in real life, we have songs for all moods that capture many emotions. We are an extreme metal band, but that doesn’t mean we have to play one type of song over and over”

A behind the scenes video of drummer Tyson Jupin has been put together and uploaded to You Tube which can be found here: [ame]http://youtube.com/watch?v=Js-1dtmk_t4[/ame]
