Virgin Black on US tour thru Oct 18

I know there's some Virgin Black fans on these boards. I remember you guys suggested them a long time ago. I finally picked up a few of their CDs a few months ago (Elegant and Dying & Requiem Mezzo Forte) and I am really digging them.

In case people aren't aware, they are currently touring the US opening for Amorphis. I'm totally pumped to see them in St. Paul next week!

Virgin Black are one of my favourite bands, but I'm not exactly digging the Requiem albums... Sombre Romantic, closely followed by Elegant and Dying are a must have, in my opinion. Most people seem to disagree with this though.

Yea guys, please come out to support them if you have the time or means. They are a great band, and they are putting a lot into every show they do. I had the distinct honor to be their tour manager across the US last year and wow, I honestly didn't know who they were before I met them all that day in that cramped van in Washington DC when they picked me up at the airport, but I knew who they were that night, wow. They were absolutely incredible musicians, songwriters, and most importantly, people. They knew that I would have given them the shirt off of my back on that tour if needed, and they were the same way towards me. I can't want to see my Aussie boys (and girl) again.

I saw them play in Sept with Opeth, and they were great!

Yeah, I have a lot of respect for them. Definitely an excellent band.
