Visions Of Atlantis?

This is a great band with a great new release! Hoping for a possible ProgPower performance. Anyone familiar with them?

They are an excellent female/male fronted symphonic power metal band from Austria, but two members are from the USA. They are to open for NIGHTWISH on a portion of their European shows this spring. Excellent musicians Excellent vocals. Check out their CD "Castaway".

I was very disappointed with this release, I found the music to be very generic and the vocals suspect at times. I love the song Lost but that was the only decent song on the CD IMO.

Generic? Wow, I can't understand that thought but hey, people can't always like what I like. I think it's great!

Perhaps I thought it was rather bland because of the timing of buying it. I bought it the same time I got Ad Vitam Aeternam, The Vision Bleak, Within Temptation, Tristania, Silent Force and in comparison I thought visions of atlantis was the weakest release. Maybe I should pull it back out and give it another few spins in the CD player.

Female vocals + symphonic elements = generic. I think zinescene has it right here.
