As allways I'm a bit slow (release from february)...noticed this CD by the Vixen , not the known girlie band but the Vixen where Marty Friedman played in before Hawaii. I used to have some demo's of them and I think this is a super release. The original demo recordings even are on it!! :dopey: I immediatly ordered it as this was one of my favorit bands at that time....more info and samples;

I've never heard them, would like to though. Is it basically the band that turned into Hawaii?

I don't know about the line up, will have to do a search for that. There are some sound samples to listen to on the link I gave. There are also demo tapes of the band before Vixen, Aloha, but basically the same songs I believe. Living in Sin is a metal classic to me. It sounds a (little) bit outdated now maybe, but it was way on top in the 80's.

You are right!! They were the shit on those days.

I have this weird Vixen album with a light blue sleeve and music on only one side!! The other side is smooth vinyl without a groove in it. Marty Friedman already ruled then :)

I took the album out and have it here. Its called "Made in Hawaii" and its a one sided EP :cool:

That's rare stuff there Hawk !! Damned, I wished I never sold my vinyl collection...had about 400 albums...I had the Hawaii EP "loud wild & heavy", also a pretty rare one, but had never even seen that Vixen EP yet...
