NY's VLE has officially signed to DEEPSEND RECORDS for the release of their next currently untitled record. Tracking for the effort will take place at the artist's home base throughout the New Year and commence in March for a release shortly thereafter. The label will also rerelease their critically acclaimed 'The Book of Illusions: Chapters 1,2,3' together as a double disc sometime in late 2005. We are currently seeking a talented landscape artist that can capture the mood and atmosphere that VLE exerts with their stunning music as seen on 'The Book of Illusions' releases. All interested candidates send an email to: info@deepsend.com

VLE is a solo project based in New York City which started in July 2001. Inspired by ocean sunsets, darkness and silence... VLE has created improvised expressive minimalist soundscapes that serve to evoke different emotions. VLE is a journey through timeless motifs and cosmic spheres of existence. The sound of VLE is raw and emotional as all pieces were constructed without use of programming or traditional composition style. The music of VLE is very eclectic as each piece represents the different moods we all experience in this life. This is music from the soul... music erected from the subconscious. And if you are open to other states of consciousness, you too shall learn. VLE invites you to experience the deepest realms of darkness and beauty.

Works created through strict use of experimentation and improvisational techniques... the most important element is the depiction of atmosphere where all instruments/sounds fuse together. Noise, chaos, infinity, beauty, darkness, light, pain, harmony, melancholy, rhythm, power, melody, repetition, dissonance and duality are all concepts expressed herein... Hmmmm i once got really interrested in VLE because of descriptions like that, so i downloaded soundclips from the site.
It was very disappointing- nothing of "Burzum meets Pink Floyd" as some review claimed, just boring pop-like ... music.
But perhaps i did not get it from listening to two clips one time... Anyway, that listening experience destroyed my interrest in buying something by VLE...

Fucking Deep Send and their getting rid of Saprogenic. Letting off such a fucking good band must have been hard...

Anyways, what the FUCK is this band doing on that label? This is pretty cool, though. It's definitely not pop...it's more like some sort of ambient mixed with drums. A...soundscape, if you will.
