Since we have a guitarfag thread and a drumfag thread (somewhere), may as well start this. Much in the same way and the geetur thread, any advice, tips, recommendations on mics etc. go in h'nyar.

And on that note, I'm getting back into death metal vocals and need hints on getting back my gr00ve since it's been about three years since I last did vocals properly.

I would recommend you, and every vocalist in the genre of metal to look up the movie "Melissa Cross - the zen of screaming".
Great movie on how to control and take care of your voice

Decided the other day to learn how to properly scream, so i've been spending what ever free time I have with my moms laptop watching 'zen of screaming'
Definitely more difficult than I thought it was going to be

James Hetfield Seattle '89 rapes everything in existence. All other vocals can fuck off, James raped everyone. Everyone knows it, I shall continue to repeat it over and over because NO ONE holds a candle to Justice Era James. The way he sings certain words and adds grunt to them, genius.
