According to Billboard, "Black Rose", the new single from Danish/American rock 'n' rollers VOLBEAT, has landed at No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart. It is the second track from from last year's "Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie" album to top the list. The disc's first single, "The Devil's Bleeding Crown", reached No. 1 in May 2016, while the follow-up single, "Seal The Deal", got as high as No. 3 last December. The "Black Rose" achievement marks the sixth time in less than five years that VOLBEAT has had a No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart. The only other acts who have had six or more on the chart in five years or less since its 1981 inception are VAN HALEN, THE BLACK CROWES, THREE DAYS GRACE and SHINEDOWN. The new animated video for "Black Rose" can be seen below. The clip was produced and directed by Toon53 Productions. VOLBEAT guitarist Rob Caggiano told TeamRock about the track: "This song features Danko Jones and he's a good friend of the band; we love what he does and he loves what VOLBEAT do. We took him on tour on the last album cycle and it was great. He's such a cool dude, and he's a huge music nerd like we are. He's awesome. So we were working on this song 'Black Rose', and Michael [Poulsen, VOLBEAT frontman] was singing the verse part, and he was, like, 'Maybe Danko Jones could sing on this one. It sounds like something that he would do.' And it totally does! We could almost hear it before it even happened. When we approached him about doing it, he was totally psyched, and he completely nailed it."
