Listen and Purchase
Vpaahsalbrox cropped up from out of nowhere in 2005 and spun heads in the underground with their unyielding, torturous demo tape, 14 Sovereign. As word spread, the band developed a following and began to crack into the awareness of international circles and all waited eagerly for any sort of follow-up release. Unfortunately, the band faded back into the obscurity from which they came but the scar they left remained in the minds of those who crossed their path. Brief though it was, 14 Sovereign showcased a forward-thinking style of songwriting and aggression in black metal, one heavily drenched in dissonance and discord which broke sharply from the landscape that spawned it and delved furlong into madness.
“…There are absolute berserker rampages within the songs, as well as the sounds of cold, flesh-crawling rituals and dismal melodies that stink of plague. You’ll also have to search long and hard to find vocals that are any more exemplary of shrieking, blood-lusting insanity; when you hear the phrase “not for the faint of heart”, this is the kind of thing people mean, or should mean…”
