You have some great talent there man, keep that good work up man and your just gonna get better and better but you already sound good! practice & practice

take a look at my cover of "two horses" by asking alexandria, also have a cover on american but the cleans suck on that one. the screams is what im training and going for so i want some crit on that

tripkagg: Wow! That was really sick, wish i could scream like that :O
Your clean vocals where a bit off pitch, i think you should try sing it a bit higher pitch wise, because it seemed like you were a semi note low on some parts. Your clean vocals on Not the American Average was not that bad, just work on your pitch and it will sound great soon :)

abaga129: Yes, I noticed i was especially off on the part after the second chorus :(

Hehe, we should do a dual cover sometime ;) I actually just started to sing a couple of weeks ago and my technique is not the best, i really have to sing super loud to reach the high notes :/

Its natural to have to sing louder to hit the higher notes, but try opening your throat up when you do. It should make them a little smoother. But for only singing for a few weeks, its sounding really good

yeah i also need to sing super loud to hit those high notes but thats normal :D yes we should man, would be cool :D

Hey guys i had a similar thread to post so i decided to just put it here.
My band kicked out our guitarist/singer, so we are in need of a singer. I thought this might be my chance to shine so i rewrote the chorus to one of our songs and recorded it. i was wondering what you guys think about my singing.

Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving! :D

We don't celebrate fat people's day in Sweden :(

Your vocals are not bad, i would try to sing some parts louder and maybe sing some of the notes higher to make it more exciting.

Sounds pretty nice actually, how do you do it? Because i don't assume that's your normal voice ^^
When i've tried to sing those similiar highs in King for a Day - Pierce the Veil, my voice gets really hoarse easily. I guess you should use your head voice, but im not sure if i do it right :/

It's alot of head voice and it's god damn hard, i try to practice as often i can but i haven't got there really yet. i have also tried King for a Day and i can only manage to hit the notes of the original singer. there is no way i can go as high as Kellin but i guess even more practice can get you there some day, please do some more cover so i can hear more of you than just 1 song! :)

Right now I'm working on some own songs for my potential band but i will try do a cover asap :p I will probably do Wolves At the Gates - Heralds and Our Last Night - Across the Ocean as they are in my vocal range :)
