I listened to it in the shop and thought it sucked majorly 
I'm not sure if I'm remembering the correct band, but some of the riffs seemed kinda happy, which is not good for doom.....

I only have the first album, with Krista van Guilder singing, and I really like it. Been meaning to pick up the new(er) one, but haven't yet.
Nothing very "happy" about Warhorse. There are several doom/stoner bands with a _____-horse moniker though, so maybe there is some confusion (or maybe the new Warhorse takes a sudden turn for the land of rainbows and sunshine? I hope not

Their Mental Vortex from the year 1991 sounds so fucking good.
They´re like...They´re heavy metal gaddamn! THey´re not very
trash on that record as they were said to be a trash band...
They have here and there some cool Opeth like chordings...
Man, it´s hard to tell via net...Go to a record store and listen Mental Vortex.
No: on their first album, self-titled, released on Burden of Being Records in 1998, Krista van Guilder sang. They had female vocals for that album.
On the band's subsequent album, Heaven Turns To Ash, van Guilder left and was replaced by the band's current - male - singer.
