Wow.

I headed to Guitar Center today, eager to try the Warwick TBO and Stingray.

I quickly found one and plugged it and started messing around.

I was very very disappointed..it just..sounded..bad.

I plugged in the Corvette and it sounded a LOT better than the Thumb Bolt On.

I mean a LOT.

The Stingray was also leagues ahead of the TBO.

The tone was so boring on the TBO, and it sounded like shit when I slapped and popped it.

The reason I post this is because when I was coming home, I realized that the strings on the TBO might have just been really really really really really dead.

I dunno, though.

I own a Thumb Bolt-on that I custom ordered from Warwick with SIMS led side fret markers.

It's hands down one of the best sounding basses I've ever played.

I also owned another that I sold (because I had the custom one), and a Corvette fretless, that sounded okay, but must have been close to 15 lbs....

But everyone has their own preferences....
