THIS WEEK ON THE CLASSIC METAL SHOW: This week on THE CLASSIC METAL SHOW, WASP returns with yet another instant classic from Blackie Lawless and company. The album is called DOMINATOR, and it's a home run release that seems to be a throwback to THE HEADLESS CHILDREN stylistically and lyrically. The guys are clearly excited to bring a New Music Listening Party to the table for Dominator, and we're trying to work something out with WASP to have Blackie or one of his cohorts on the show to talk about the new release.
Also on the show, VH1 continues their STRIPPED series of releases. They have a brand new release called METAL MANIA STRIPPED 3, which features a brand new collection of stripped down, acoustic renditions of your favorite songs from the 80s. Included this time around are favorites from Autograph, Mr. Big, Shaw-Blades, Accept and Ratt. As you know, Ratt Traps are popping right now, which means that the CMS favorite Stephen Pearcy must be ready to talk with Neeley and Chris about the goings on with the reunion tour. We'll do a New Music Listening Party for METAL MANIA STRIPPED 3, and Mr. Pearcy is scheduled to come back on the show...and you all know how that always turns out.
Finally, the guys have long been fans of the band Beautiful Creatures. Now sidelined as a band, guitarist Anthony Focx has formed a new band called Generation Beautiful. The project is gaining momentum in Los Angeles, and now will venture to the CMS stage for a bit of airplay and promotion. We'll check out a few tracks from their LIVE EP, and Focx is scheduled to come on the show to talk about it as well.
