WOW!!
I used to be hooked on this series when I was a little kid!!!
As an adult I actually spent a lot of money buying many of the laserdiscs from Ken Crane's in Los Angeles.... DVD's weren't yet invented!
However, even though I still enjoy them, as a young child this series seemed to have more substance and depth. Much more suspense and I remember the monsters (Especially that white bald-headed thing) being so scary and realistic...
Something must have been lost in the translation to laserdiscs, and then to DVD's because now they seem a little `campy.'
I remember watching the episode "The Squire of Gothos" and walking around with a fake British accent. I still wish I spoke like that! Even now.
Another thing that changed from when I watched it on TV and the laserdiscs. Some of the women are now really pretty! Not Deb, Linda, Sara, Wanda beautiful, but still very pleasant to look at!!
I believe when I watched it on TV so long ago the women were merely cardboard props that always seemed to bother captain Kirk when he was trying to do important stuff or kick @ss on someone. The laserdiscs definitely make the women look so much prettier!!! How did they do that! I wonder...
I say! Bring back the laserdiscs!!! Anyway, I miss looking at the full-size covers.. Same as LP's. DVD's and CD's are boring...
I am surprised that movies are not being released on flash-drive media. It's the next logical step!
If no-one has thought of this, maybe I have a `new' idea.. So,... To protect my interests...
