Watching the adds

I saw an add for Dare iced coffee. It said I dare you to leave the Union. Fuck that haha. That strong iced coffee they have now is so addictive, cant get through a morning without one!

Man I had a couple of those when I was on tour in SA last...fuck it's awesome. Can't get it up here. Hopefully soon though because you can get the light Farmers Union stuff here.

One of the main things about SA I miss.

1. Farmers Union Iced Coffee...though you can get it up here most places now.
2. Yiros
3. Stobey Poles

You get villie's pies as well or not?
Nothing is better, or unhealthier, than a strong farmers union and a villie's pigs trail 'meat' pie. and i use the term meat very loosely haha

May as well join in...for the Adelaiders.

What's the name of the place that does the hot crinkle cut chips ?

I remember when I was little (and living in Adelaide), olds would pile us in a car, and we'd drive into the hills, and there was a shop that sold fish, chicken and chips. The chips were circular and crinkle cut before being deep fried and served in one of those silver lined chicken bags.

Do they originate in Cornwall? What's in them?

Can't you get Eskimo Pies up there, Xena? I've not seen one for yonks actually.

like a normal pastie. vegies and stuff...but they have really awesome pastry, which has a big sort of seam twisted into the top of them. i remember someone once telling me it originated in the coal mines or something, and the miners could eat it by holding the big pastry seam on top and eat the actual pasty bit without getting shit all over their food.

might be bullshit though. i should look it up!

Mmm... cornish pasties! Although the ones they do in the supermarkets here are shit (full of swede!), the ones by the pasty shop we go to on the Isle of Wight are delish.

One Sunday per month, our family used to assemble and bake Cornish Pasties...yummy.

BTW, my maternal Grandad used to say that he was of sound English stock.

Mad auntie (his cousin) used to say that their relos were Cornish Pirates.

My auntie traced the tree back and found....Cornish Pirates (or tinminers)

Cornish pirates as in the sort who used to shine misleading lights to lure ships in to be wrecked on rocks?
