NICE TITLE SHOULD SITR UP A BIT OF PUBLICITY WHICH THEY NEED RIGHT NOW.

I QUITE LIKED THE TITLE TAKING THE MUSIC BACK BUT THE NEW TITLE IS GROWING ON ME!!!

NO1 AUSTRALIAN ANTHRAX FAN SAYS DRINKS TO ALL MY FRIENDS

my first impression was...'what the fuck???'.. well, not that i dont like it...but it just didn't got that hook like the rest of their album title. hey...even stomp 442 sounds cool ( eventhough i still dont understand the relevance of it)..

but then...what ever...all i know ..ANTHRAX will release a new album....HHOOOORAAYYY..

p/s: please let there be more rip roaring riffs!!! & less more shredding like mad...

I remember sombody saying "Taking the music back" sounded like a Dokken title or something....& I totally agree, I like the new title much better. Actually they could call it "Music for Faggots" & I'd still be happy, I just want the damn thing to come out soon!!!

If I remember right, the significance of the title has to do with the traveling troupe "Stomp" . I don't know if Scott seen 'em or what, but he liked the name. The "442" has to do with the 442 engine. Somewhere along the line Scott spoke of this.....

Can hardly wait for the new album. I just wish we would get some official word from the boys......Stay tuned I suppose!

Blatz to you all!!!!

:Puke: :Puke: :Puke:

I loved Stomp, but always felt the vox were not as good as they could have been, production-wise. Just an opinion.

Also, regarding "Stomp" has anyone ever noticed how similiar Metallica's vid for "Fuel" is compared to "Fueled"? Anthrax did it first, and then Metallica did it.....hmmm, interesting......check 'em out, you'll see what I mean! And not just the title.

TD, you going out boozing this weekend or what? I rented a cabin, for myself and some friends. I have a buddy home from the army, who has been gone for a year (to Korea).

Something tells me mass quantities of Blatz are going to be consumed!!!

I'll probably:Puke: :Puke: :Puke:

When I first listened to Stomp, the only song that grabbed me right off the bat was Tester, but the more I listened, the more it grew on me. A great album, but not quite as great as Vol. 8 and SOWN. Where WACFYA (now there's an acronym) will place remains to be seen, but I'm guessing it will become one of my four favorite all-time albums.

My weekend is looking promising...my friend has a stag on Saturday, so copious amounts of ethanol will be consumed. There may or may not be any :Puke: but my wife is pleading that I not get so drunk that I get naked in public.

I can reassure her on that point. If I can help it, the one getting so drunk that he gets naked in public will be the groom-to-be...

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Men and nudey bars.

My weekend is going to be very depressing because my son's birthday is on Sunday. Who told him he coule be 1???? Anywho, I had to order food yesterday and need order the cake today or tomorrow, clean, bake, decorate, etc. Plus shopping! Needless to say, I will be exhausted on Sunday night...

You could always just do what people have been doing to me on my birthday for countless years...get him drunk (Should be cheap at his age, maybe only one or two beers), and then tell him that he had a good time the next day. Maybe you'll even turn him off alcohol at a young age and keep him from doing stupid shit when he gets older.

The ironic thing is we're not even going to a nudey bar for the stag. We're playing something called "Whirly ball" (WTF?), and then going to a pub afterwards. That still doesn't preculde me from getting him drunk so he gets naked in public.

Yes, I'm a bastard :muahaha:

I don't know if I like the title or not. Might stir up a little publicity, but if that's what they wanted they could have called it "Special Delivery" or "Certified Mail".

That would have been GREAT!!!!!!:)
The album cover could have looked like a package with postage on it and there could be a stamp that says "Special Delivery" for the album title!
That would have RULED!!!!!!!!!

I've never seen Metallisuk's video for "Fuel". Know where I can download it for free?

Vomit: Two of my best friends, along with me, all have B-days w/in one week, so Friday is the night we are all (3 + 10 or so others) going out. It looks as if we starting off at BW3's eating mass quantities of Chicken Wings and drinking beer, then going out en masse to our local shitty bars. The cool thing about traveling en masse is that it is like a party wherever you go, nobody is gonna beat you up for anything, and if you get kicked out of the bar, the bar is gonna lose half it's business. My own B-day is actually the next weekend, but I've got some business to attend to that weekend for the free masons, so my own birthday will be much more subdued. Probably dinner and drinks for me and just a couple of others, much less crazy.

442 is associated with some money that was owed to them,in an interview ages ago scott was saying how its the little amounts of money that u gotta chase up as sometime harder to nail the larger amounts or something like that

Haysoos! That's right, I only remember them mentioning the $$$$ deal once, and I think it was Circus Magazine late 95/ early 96. Scott just said 442 was the same # as an amount of cash they were owed. Good call Mr. Thrax. They also mentioned in other interviews that the Stomp part of the title could just be taken to mean that the album "stomps" (which may be why you hear people stomping at the end of Tester) so the album title is very abstract, which matches the album artwork. BTW, call me crazy, but I loved that ANTHRAX logo.
