WE ARE LEGEND, one of the most hopeful prog / power metal bands from Balingen / Germany, have signed a worldwide deal with PURE LEGEND RECORDS, a sub-label of PURE STEEL RECORDS. This says label boss Andreas: "The material of WE ARE LEGEND is an absolute hammer. In our opinion no other German Prog/Power newcomer appeared in the past time, that got so much potential and of course we are more than proud that the guys have signed with us."

Founded in 2010, the experienced musicians got a lot of attention in the scene with their self-produced EP "We Are Legend" in 2012, Enthusiastic reviews like The "... probably best Metal Demo of the year ...", or "Absolutely brilliant!" were just some of the keywords that are evidence of the enormous capabilities of the band.

In the national competition "German Rock and Pop Award 2012" the quintet convinced also the jury and reached final in Wiesbaden without any problems. They finally won in four categories, "Best Metal Band", "Best Metal Song," "Best Metal Singer" and "Best Hard Rock song "! Only few other bands achieved this before.

With so much attention in backhand WE ARE LEGEND also surprised the press and the public on the live stage.

The debut album of the band will be released in November 2013. More info will follow in the near future.

WE ARE LEGEND are going to release their debut album through Pure Legend Records. Known from bands like Stormwitch, Abraxas and Coronatus the 5 guys have teamed up in 2010 and early got the attention of the press and scene due to their live performances.

With their EP “We are legend” the four-time winners of the German Rock and Pop Award 2012 set the bar already high, but their full length-debut is offering something extra: Intricate guitar work meets a solid, sophisticated rhythm foundation; the vocals are melodic, varied and of high quality; the work is rounded up by a fine use of atmospheric choral and Piano passages.

In addition, well renowned personnel (Markus Teske) worked on the production. So “We Are Legend” is a very amazing debut-album, which will find easily the way into your ears (and hearts).

Drummer and founding member Heiko Burst has left WE ARE LEGEND. The band is looking for a new drummer. You are expressive, you can handle your instrument and have live experience? And you here modern power metal? Rehearsal room in Balingen. Age it doesn't matter.

The Prog/Power Metallers WE ARE LEGEND with their sensational debut "Rise of the Legend" are announcing a new man behind the drums, Boris "The Legend" Kellenbenz.

After Heiko Burst has left the band for personal reasons, auditions where held in search for a new drummer, to find someone with the same potential in drumming as Heiko. After various sessions Boris could could convince after only one rehearsal and became a part of the brotherhood.

Boris is an experienced Rock and Metal drummer with a drum education at the MIM in Vienna. Guitar player and producer says about him: “With his unique way to play and his amazing groove, he is the perfect addition to our brotherhood and brings us another step forward musically.”

WE ARE LEGEND are already booked for festivals, starting in March, where Boris will give his live debut behind the drums! At the same time the band is already working on their follow up for the debut album. “The grapes are hanging high,” say Dirk, “but we still have something up our sleeve!”
