Good 2000s movies, which come to mind:

Adaptation (Awesome movie, which I saw recently)
Kill Bill (Both, great action flicks)
Hot Fuzz (better than Shaun of the Dead imo.)
Let the Right One In (A good vampire movie)
The Last Samurai (yeah, I like it..)
District 9
Lord of the Rings movies
Watchmen
Shaun of the Dead

Atleast most of these would make my top 20. I'm not a big movie nerd, but I guess I'll be able to put together a top 20 list with some time... I'll return to edit later maybe.

Hot Fuzz makes it in my Top 10 films ever. It's so damn good.
Besides that, there was the LotR stuff, the Bourne films, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, No Country for Old Men, etc. I'd put the LotR films in my Top 10 ever as well.

Gee, this is hard. But lets give it a try.

In random order:
The Constant Gardener
Children of Men
Black Hawk Down
The Return of the King
Alexander
300
Pan's Labyrinth
Hannibal Rising
Frida (I enjoyed it for the lesbian content also :D)
Casino Royale
Apocalypto
Mystic River
The Four Feathers
Last Samurai
Million Dollar Baby
Twilight Samurai
Devil's Backbone
Snatch
Mulholland Drive
Lucky Number Slevin

Dark City (Directors cut was released in the new millennium!)
A Scanner Darkly
Equilibrium
V for Vendetta
AI
Donnie Darko
Kill Bill 1 and 2
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (Not great, but passable)
Lord of the Rings
American Psycho
Red Dragon and Hannibal

District 9 is better than your favorite movie.

Actually... No, it's not. Although I enjoyed the movie, it has pretty annoying plot holes and isn't THAT original. Still, better than most stuff this year.

I haven't seen Inglorious Bastards yet.

The Fountain
Lord of the Rings (trilogy)
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Batman Begins and The Dark Knight
Gladiator
Last Samurai
Youth Without Youth
The Fall
