To all the the hellthrashers on this forum, what type of pickup is in your geetars? I've been thinking of picking up some EMG's, 81 & 85 respectively. I'm figuring some decent pickups will compensate for my lack of talent. :goggly:
In all actuality I finally wish to dedicate myself to learning this instrument properly, and a nice good kick ass sound would do nothing but motivate me in doing such. Recommendations, advice, experiences welcomed.

Also if anyone cares, I believe I had El Pollo Loco. :kickass:

What kind of amp you play through?

In my 7-string, I have an EMG 707 and Seymour Duncan Invader.

In my Les Paul, I have the EMG 81/85 combo. They sound great. As far as them compensating for your lack of tallet; I don't think so. Keep your stock pickups. Get a better amp, then change your pickups because in all likelyhood, you're not going to hear much of a difference playing through a cheap amp then.

I'm practicing through a Trademark 10 Tech 21, 10 watt amp.
