What do you make of this?!

Could be interesting but I'm quite forgiving of replacement vocalists. Gillan, Coverdale, Dickinson, Bayley, Halford, Owens, Reece, Tornillo etc

Seems like it could be really cool. Two issues though:
1. Where's John Sykes?
2. Who are the Supersuckers? Hopefully they're of the old school sound lest they receive an early exit from the punters.

Sykes quit.
The Supersuckers are an indie band that has been around for years. They put on a good show and their singer Eddie Speghetti is a huge Lizzy fan. Don't know if that's how they landed the gig...
If they brought this here to the U.S. I'd be curious and buy a ticket. This makes the Sykes version look a lot better now though...

1. No idea
2. Going off my feeble memory alone, I remember them as punk-tinged rock 'n roll. I saw them live when they opened for Social Distortion back in '97. Don't remember much of the set, but I thought they sounded OK. Not sure how they would fit on this tour though...

I'm pretty liberal with my ideas about what makes a band a band...in that a lot of players are replaceable. I was a little curious about the last incarnation of this (with Sykes), but still, then and now I have to say - No Phil = no Thin Lizzy. It's like the Jimi Hendrix Experience minus Jimi. Just my two cents. I'm a HUGE Lizzy fan, even the older/one guitarist stuff...but at the end of the day I'm really more of a Phil Lynott fan, because he WAS that band.

Also, Vivian Campbell? I have no particular problem with him, but obviously this is just a kind of summer band I guess?

I´m a huge Lizzy fan too and I have to say that when I saw "Thin Lizzy" with John Sykes it was a very good cover band.

I don´t know what to think. Brian Downey is back but Ricky Warwick? I don´t imagine Ricky singing "Emerald" :erk:

I think it summarizes my feelings.

Besides after the things he said about Dio and in general I would have Campbell skipped from any band.

My view still is after Lynott died, Thin Lizzy passed away too.

I liked the previous lineup with Sykes a lot. I saw them live at the Rock Hard festival.

But I have no idea what to think of this. I never liked the voice of Ricky Warwick.

However I am not going to pre-judge, is that even a word?, him. Even though it is very tempting. I'll see how he sounds before I give my opinion.
