what do you think about this guitar/bass sound?

I ve been reamping the guitar and bass for an ep im working on.

this track is a mix of 5150 / recto > recto cab > audix i5 1" from the grill, studio projects c4 4" from speaker for the main guitar sound, and peavey windsor for the cleaner guitars.

Im wondering if Im dialing in too low of a tone, particularly the bass sound. I think It sounds pretty balanced for the style of music, but Im a little worried it may have too much low end chunk.

Yep. And it doesn't have enough presence, sounds muffled.

hmm maybe I should get closer to the center of the dust cap with the close mic, or bring the c4 closer to the speaker. I think I`ll swap the i5 for a 57 too.

cool thanks man, I need to get some vocals recorded, once I get some more high end in the mix things may pan out


I may try a few different tones and compare to see which fits better.

just gotta find a time when me and my singer can get together to record vocals.
