So i've set up my UAD cards and have some coupons and vouchers to spend till' the end of june.

What plug-in would you recomend as the first one to get, i'm talking about mixing heavy music.

Right now i'm kinda biased on either the la2a or the precision maximizer. Maybe the 1176LN but i don't know if it's worth the cash over the 1176SE which is free.

4K Bus Compressor over Precision Buss Comp.

If I were to buy it all over again, I'd chose only the 88RS, Neve 1081, 1176, Precision Limiter, Transient Designer, Cambridge, and of cos the 4K Buss Comp. Its really punchy.

I am pretty disappointed by the Precision Maximizer, it's a DSP-hog and doesn't do that much useful (single track nor bus). The 1176LN is a one-of-a-kind compressor, that is not rivaled by any native plugin. Would be my 1st choice. It's not comparable to the 1176SE, which is just a compressor. You cannot go wrong with the LA-2A, if you want instant-gratification-smooth-vocal-compression with low-DSP-usage. You'll dial in great vocal compression in seconds. The 1176LN (NOT the 1176SE) sounds more aggressive and in your face, though. The 88RS is a swiss-army-knife tool that you might want to have on every track, but then you end up buying more cards...

I have the duende for the swiss knife chan strip and bus compression.

Rif, you've got me pretty convinced to go for the 1176LN, and later the la2a

Precision multiband
Definately a good one but I hate the BIIIIG latency in the mixing process. So I only use it for mastering sometimes.

My first choice would be 1176LN, Cambridge EQ and LA2A.

Cambridge is cool, but not really worth it if you have another digital EQ. 1073 is amazing, LA2A is great, and the multi-band is alright. Ive been wanting the buss comp, and transient designer.

Thanks guys!

Like I said, i did pick up the 1176LN. Now i'm saving money for the la2a for the occasional sung vocal or some "phat" ;) bass tracks

Good choice, you will not regret it. And my tip: Drive the plugin HARD to make use of it's full potential and to get into the area that the 1176SE does not cover.
But be prepared, most of the UAD plugins are kind of addictive, so you will find yourself buying more of them. They tease you every month with vouchers that make things cheaper and usually it's hard to resist...
