What happened to the European tour?

A few months ago there was a European tour announced for May IIRC. It got postponed 'cause Schaffer broke his back (again, IIRC).

So what happened to it? No announcement about it after that? Just a couple of festivals in Europe?

I was pretty sure those shows all got cancelled cause of Jon's back

There are also rumors that the Eurpean tour got cancelled/postponed because Jon Schaffer wanted to renegotiate the contracts with the European promoters. Allegedly Jon wanted to get more money, now that there's a new (and in Jon's opinion much better) singer in the band.

I personally don't believe that's true, because I think the contracts had been signed when Tim was already in the band - so why renegotiate?

Anyway, I'm very disappointed that the Iced Earth/Primal Fear/Thunderstone didn't happen, and I'm hoping for new tour dates as soon as possible!
I have no idea what takes them so long.

I just read at www.rockhard.de (German metal magazine) that the European tour is now scheduled for November/December 2004.
