Alexi Laiho - Guitar/Something Resembling Vocals

Alexi Laiho is the last of the "Kitareläin" (also known as 'Finnish Wood Demon'). Early journals and folklore tell us that Alexi once roamed the woods of Espoo whittling any available wood into a primitive mandolin (several of which can be found in the Sjargensgard Musem of Music). In 1897 a local Accordina Player Kaari Warman found a way to communicate with the beast using music. He became a member of the family and responsibility of the Kitareläin was passed from generation to generation untill a greedy young Janne Warmen exploited the Kitareläin's power for personal gain. In many Children of Bodom songs you can hear the keyboard part sending "instructions" to Alexi, while the rest of the band improvise. A study by the Berekely college of music has established every Children of bodom song is a musical co-incidence.
