Sorry, I'm stupid with my instruments. What instruments is it playing that spooky little melody on the intro? If it's a keyboard, what instrument is it SUPPOSED to be? Thanks.

Kuuul, thanks, the guitar wasn't actually what I meant, but I didn't really notice it before, I just heard it as some percussion stuff. What's Eric doing there anyway, it's rasgueado or something innit?

Anyway, what I really meant was the synthesizer part, anyone know what that's supposed to be? Some kind of strings?

Well, I'm stumped now because I'm not a musician. The guitar does sound very exotic... it could be spanish-inspired. Damn, I wish I asked E last night. I'll run it by him the next time we speak.

HEY TL , that brings me to a question while your on this topic with Eric. I have always wanted to know , during the 1992/93 tour , the band had this very cool intro before each of their shows that they played over the P.A. It can be heard on the "Return to the Apocalyptic City" Live disc. WHAT IS IT? I think the clip of "today's a good day to die" is from the movie Flatlinners, but what is that music from before it? Can you ask the mighty Peterson ?

"Hi TL,

1st answer: It is a synthesizer string section played by me. (too short a
part/too shy to take credit on CD :))

2nd answer: Yes it is Flatliners, look no further!"

I recorded that Into that was used from my Laser Disc of The movie Flatliners...............Killer Intro!

Thanks for the answer to my question TL and DEADLY ! I have wanted to know that for years actually. I guess I gotta get Flatliners on Laserdisc and get the audio burned to a cd. I can still see clouds of fog as Testament took to the stage to that intro. Bigtime goosebumps during that intro at those shows. :headbang:
