like, i'm thinking of a few 80's-era songs that had these sort of sweepingly bleak guitar things going on, coupled with the ghostly wail vocals that frickin john hughes would use to compliment romantic comedies - but those won't be named, and i need a future reference for whatever crushingly depressive phases that are yet to come
