I once posted in a topic like this over at Metal Archives, so I am just reposting it here.
I decided to compile this list just for fun.
Met Bruce Dickinson at a record signing when he was still a solo artist shortly before returning to Maiden.
Saw Blind Guardian play a 3 song acoustic set in a record store on their first Swedish tour. Talked to them and got the albums signed.
Visited the homes of Mikael and Anders from Dark Tranquillity + stayed in hotels with them a couple of times. Got to know Mikael over the net at first and I even borrowed his girlfriends apartment once when I went to party with them for Anders 30th birthday.
Met Amon Amarth more than a handful of times. Hung out in different bars with Fredrik on a couple of occasions.
Was once a member of Gamma Rays fanclub and hung out with the band after a show in Stockholm. It was Daniel Z's birthday and the record company guy paid for the beer

I personally know the drummer Ronnie from Grave/Demonical etc.
Took photos with Jonas/Fredrik from Katatonia.
Met Mikael Åkerfeldt and Peter from Opeth a couple of times and exchanged a few words.
Spoken to Messiah, Mappe, and some other members of Candlemass at the first reunion gig in 2001 (same day Chuck Schuldiner died
)
Met Mike Amott from Carcass/Arch Enemy at that gig. + half of Stockholm metal crowd (4/5 of the Enombed members for instance)
Spoke to Karl Willets from Bolt Thrower at a festival in Stockholm.
Talked to Chris Broderick of then Jag Panzer now in Megadeth when they played Wacken in 2001.
Also at Wacken, in 2003 or 2004. Camped out next to Richard Mills from Grand Belials Key. He took me to meet Keith from Deströyer 666 in the beer garden of Wacken \m/
Met Thomas and Patrik of Thyrfing at gigs in Stockholm.
Took photos with and talked to The Haunted, Naglfar, Hypocrisy, Vintersorg and probably a few other bands at a festival in Sweden.
Met and talked to Tompa from then The Crown at a gig + the rest of The Crown.

Had breakfast at the same table at Wacken as Tobias Kjellgren (Dissection/Decameron etc.) and Johan Bergebäck (Necrophobic/Morpheus). Tobias was pissed off that he was listed as session drummer for Dissections Live Legacy album.
